The cream of the Western Australian yearling crop has been assembled for the 2026 Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale and the quality packed catalogue is now online.
The sale, comprising 358 quality lots, will be staged at the Magic Millions Swan Valley Complex on Thursday 19 February and Friday 20 February.
There is an impressive line up of represented stallions – 79 in all. Local champion Playing God leads the way with a strong line of 52 yearlings consigned for 2026. Seven first season sires have stock catalogued – Group One winners Artorius, Paulele, State of Rest and Stronger – as well as the exciting locally based trio Aysar (Deep Field), Lightsaber (Zoustar) and Marine One (Capitalist).
During recent weeks across the Pinnacles and Summer Carnival recent stakes winning graduates have included Watch Me Rock, King of Light, Super Smink, Buckets Ridge, Luana Miss, Rope Them In and Toropa.
“Western Australian bred gallopers have a proud history of succeeding at the elite level,” Magic Millions Managing Director Barry Bowditch noted. “From Perth, across Australia, through Asia to Royal Ascot, the results speak for themselves.
“Each and every year we present a quality line up of yearlings in the Swan Valley and 2026 will be no different with strong support of the state’s leading thoroughbred breeders. The 2026 catalogue is packed of quality and we can’t wait to welcome vendors and buyers alike to the Swan Valley in February.”
Featuring in the catalogue are (at least half) relations to group winners including Bustler, Music Magnate, Portland Sky, Western Empire, A Lot of Good Men, Awesome John, Buster Boom, Comrade Rosa, Ektifaa, Ima Single Man, Super Smink, Swift Witness, Chaillot, Live to Tell, Rocketing By and Siren Assault.
There are dozens of lots from stakes winning mares. They include Kay Cee, Bantry Bay, Dainty Tess, Lubiton, Platinum Rocker, Zoushine, All Friared Up, Brave Angel, Caipirinha, Chantorque, First Affair, Impetuous, Lonsdale Lady, Mizlecki, No Looking Back, Premardal, Rebel Assault, Single Spice, Snowchino and Stellar Vista.
The build up to the 2026 sale will hit fever pitch with the massive Magic Millions WA Raceday at Pinjarra Park on Saturday, 14 February. “It will feature $600,000 in prizemoney and Magic Millions Racing Women’s bonuses run exclusively for sale graduates – it’s a real highlight on the WA racing calendar and the perfect way to set up a massive week,” Bowditch reported.
Inspections will start in the Swan Valley on the Sunday and continue through Wednesday before all eyes will be on the sale ring on Thursday and Friday (February 19 and 20.
