Accomplished Singapore winners by Golden Snake

Ridgeview Park stallion Golden Snake (USA) grabbed a winning double in Singapore on Friday night with stablemates Jet Cosmo and Accomplished.

The three year-olds topped and tailed the Kranji card for trainer Sam Chua.

Jet Cosmo (3g Golden Snake – More Than A Woman by Puissance) opened the meeting with a comfortable victory in a 1700m Maiden for Jet Racing Stables.  He was a $14,000 buy from the 2012 Adelaide Magic Millions.

Chua has persevered with Jet Cosmo while gradually stepping him up to a suitable distance but he didn’t have to hang about with Accomplished.

Sourced privately in Australia, he made it 3 wins from 7 starts when closing the program in a 1200m Sprint for Mawen Racing Stables.

Accomplished (3g Golden Snake – Gold Patriot by Made Of Gold) is a full brother to Super Gold who Chua trained to Group 3 victories in the 2009 Committee’s Prize and 2010 Moonbeam Vase.

“I heard about him through my agent,” Chua recalled.  “He didn’t have a clue what racing was all about when he first arrived here.

“He definitely has potential.  We haven’t rushed him and I think he can go over a bit of distance but not for now.”

Ridgeview Park studmaster Phil Sloane reports the dams of both Singapore winners delivered Golden Snake foals within days of each other last year.  More Than A Woman foaled a colt on August 15 and Gold Patriot a filly on August 19.

Golden Snake (Danzig) stands at Sloane’s Muskerry property in association with LP Stallions manager Julie Nairn.
