Amelia Park leads WA breeders with Book 1 colts by Street Boss (USA) and Zoustar at the Gold Coast Magic Millions Yearling Sale starting on Tuesday.
Both colts are being prepped by Segenhoe Stud on behalf of Vasse-based breeder Peter Walsh. They sold a $900,000 Blue Point (Ire) half-brother to Group 1 mare Amelia’s Jewel (Siyouni) as agent for Walsh at the Gold Coast last year.
The Street Boss colt (Lot 421) from Amelia’s Love (Blackfriars) is a full-brother to the Tony and Calvin McEvoy-trained Morphettville winner Speed Lover. Their dam is a half-sister to RL Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Karuta Queen (Not a Single Doubt).
The Zoustar colt (Lot 838) out of Lady Cosmology (Universal Ruler) is the second foal of a top-class Amelia Park homebred who was a Group 3 winner in Adelaide (Proud Miss Stakes) and a dual Listed winner in Perth (Supremacy Stakes and Burgess Queen Stakes).
Lady Cosmology’s first foal is an unraced 2yo named Our Existence (Trapeze Artist). He was a $260,000 buy for Durrant Racing at the 2023 Perth Magic Millions.
Thehorseman (4g Universal Ruler – Regalo Amante by Sebring) opened Amelia Park’s account for 2024 in the Unite Resourcing Hcp (1400m) at Belmont on Wednesday. He had won a Bunbury maiden in November for trainer Neville Parnham and owner Steve Kilner.
The Collector (4g Merchant Navy – Addie Lane by Street Cry) signed off 2023 for them a week earlier at Geraldton. His Too Darn Hot (GB) half-sister has been catalogued as Lot 3 to kick-off Amelia Park’s consignment to the Perth Magic Millions next month.
