Break Card gave Ruane Stud owners John and Marilyn Baxter a fitting 40th wedding anniversary present in the LR Premier’s Cup (1800m) at Rosehill on Saturday.

Break Card (5m Danzero – Fleur de Jazz by Fairy King) was purchased for the Baxters for $30,000 from the Torryburn Stud draft at the 2008 Gold Coast Magic Millions.  She has now earned over $312,000.

“We have been looking at getting her to this sort of trip for a while,” trainer Gerald Ryan said.  “She’s super fit and is as honest as they come.  John and Marilyn have been great supporters – they both deserve a medal!”

Break Card became the 38th individual stakes winner for Danzero.  The Golden Slipper winning son of Danehill has transferred from Arrowfield Stud to Rosemont Stud this year for his 17th season at stud.

Break Card’s dam Fleur de Jazz has also foaled the Brisbane winners Jackpot Jazz and Louis the Lip.  She is a half sister to the South African G2 winner Zelator (Alzao) and is also related to G1 winning filly Yosei.
