Victorian based trainer Mark Riley topped the Tasmanian Magic Millions yearling sale on Tuesday when he went to $62,000 to secure a Churchill Downs filly from Armidale Stud.
The Churchill Downs – Caralowe filly is Super VOBIS qualified and is a half sister to Triple Asset (Nadeem) who is favoured for the $50,000 Shaw Magic Millions 2YO Classic at Mowbray on Wednesday.
A Not a Single Doubt filly was next on the leader-board at $60,000. Offered by Reibey Lodge, she was purchased by Magic Millions as agent for a Tasmanian client.
The Ladoni full brother to Group winning mare Lady Lynette was the top-priced colt. He was purchased by Cranbourne trainer Mark Webb from Armidale Stud for $50,000.
Overall, trade reached $1.24 million at an average of $12,558 which was down from $14,193 last year. The clearance rate was 64%.
