Arrowfield Stud has increased its stake in It’s A Dundeel (NZ).
Chairman John Messara purchased a 30% share in the High Chaparral stallion after his Group 1 victory over Atlantic Jewel in the Underwood Stakes in September.
Arrowfield now has a controlling interest in the four year-old who will race in the stud’s colours during an autumn campaign that will climax in the $4 million Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Randwick.
It’s A Dundeel (4h High Chaparral – Stareel by Zabeel) has not raced since starting favourite and finishing eighth in the G1 Cox Plate. He is expected to retire to the Hunter Valley for the 2014 breeding season.
