Articlesandorders – Bred to Win – Monday, 9 November 2009

The only downside about Street Cry’s monumental week in racing is that there won’t be any of his youngsters at the major yearling sales in 2010.  He didn’t shuttle to Darley Australia in 2007 or 2008.

Street Cry sired Melbourne Cup winner Shocking on Tuesday and completed a dream week when Zenyatta won the Breeders’ Cup Classic on Sunday.

He can sire another winner this afternoon when Articlesandorders starts in the Rural Supplies Handicap (Race 3 at 3.00pm AEDT) at Queanbeyan.

Articlesandorders (3f Street Cry-City Liffey by Citidancer) was a terrific last start winner at Queanbeyan when she scored going away by three lengths.  Carrying just 1kg over the minimum, she looks hard to toss again today.

Retained to race by her breeders, Articlesandorders is by Street Cry and is a younger sister to Listed Canberra Black Opal Stakes winner Sarthemare.
