First-crop sire Wilko topped Day 13 at the Keeneland September yearling sale when his colt from Miss Attractive changed hands for $40,000 on Saturday.

Preston Stables purchased the colt (Lot 4296) from Adena Springs at the penultimate session of the September Sale.  His sire Wilko (Awesome Again) was a G1 winner of the 2004 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile and his dam Miss Attractive is a winning half-sister to stakes winner Miss Tizzy (Cee’s Tizzy).

On Saturday, 197 yearlings realised $1.26 million at an average of $6,404 which was 8.5% up on last year.
