Coolmore shuttler Aussie Rules continued the good run with his first season juveniles when Chinese Wall coasted to a comprehensive win in the Listed Prix de Valle d’Auge (1000m) at Deauville on Wednesday.
Owned and bred by Marquesa de Mortalla, Chinese Wall went into the contest as the winner of two of her three early-season starts. She toyed with 10 rivals in the closing stages to score an impressive three length win.
Chinese Wall becomes the second stakes winner from the first crop of Aussie Rules. The Heny Candy trained colt Dinkum Diamond was a Listed winner in May. He has been nominated to take on older horses in the G1 Nunthorpe Stakes at York on Friday.
Aussie Rules (Danehill) has sired 7 individual winners so far this term in Europe. His first southern yearlings were well received at the 2010 majors and included a $90,000 colt from the Magic Millions that is in training with David Payne.
Aussie Rules will stand the 2010 Southern Hemisphere breeding season at Coolmore Australia at $8,800 (inc. gst)
