Bearcat transfers to Hardwicke Stud

Danehill sire Bearcat has replaced recently deceased sire Moscow Ballet (Ire) at Hardwicke Stud in NSW.

Moscow Ballet (Sadlers Wells) died on September 7.  He was a Listed winner at Royal Ascot in 2004 but failed to fill at place in 8 starts out here for David Hayes.

A close relation to Stravinsky, he was initially used at Ampulla Lodge in Victoria before moving to NSW.  His only Australian winner to date has been Canberra mare Salander.

Bearcat is a brother to successful sire Catbird and stood at Taunton Vale Stud in Western Australia for six years before transferring to Bowness Stud in NSW in 2012.

Bowness Stud owner John North stands Bullet Train and Bon Hoffa and he came to the rescue when Hardwicke Stud manager Peter Holloway sent out a mayday last month.
