Bel Esprit colt tops Seymour trials for HIT Sale

A son of champion Victorian sire Bel Esprit ran the quickest timed sectional gallop during a successful breeze up session at Seymour on Tuesday.

Catalogued as Lot 33, the colt from a quality Nolen Racing draft, stopped the clock in 10.67 seconds to edge out the Magic Albert – Sunlaw colt who ran 10.68 seconds.

The Bel Esprit colt is from an Adelaide placed Ekraar mare who hails from the family of Magic Millions flag-bearer Snippets.

There was more “give” in the Seymour surface compared to the Gold Coast during Monday’s breeze-ups, however, 9 of the 37 horses broke 11 seconds.

A colt by Real Saga impressed by running 10.72 seconds when presented as part of the Robyn Wise draft.

The next four two-year-olds to run quick times were all presented by Nolen Racing and are sons of Street Sense, Saxon, Captain Gerrard and Flying Pegasus respectively.
