Darley has announced the stud fees for its 26 stallions that will stand in Australia for the 2012 breeding season.

“The Darley stallions have enjoyed another excellent year,” Darley’s nominations manager Alastair Pulford said.  “Four of our stallions are ranked in the Top 10 and we are particularly thrilled with the achievements of Lonhro, Exceed And Excel and Bernardini.

“Lonhro colt Pierro is a champion, Exceed And Excel has sired three G1 winners in the last twelve months and Bernardini has had such a brilliant start in the northern hemisphere, he now demands a fee of $150,000.”

Lonhro’s G1 T J Smith Stakes winner Benfica will join Poet’s Voice and Skilled as newcomers on the roster.

“Benfica is an exciting prospect for breeders,” Pulford continued.  “He is an exceptional mover, a G1-winning juvenile and he’s a son of Australia’s Champion sire.”
