Black-type Dormello mares supplemented for NZB Winter Sale

There has been a host of supplementary entries for the NZ Bloodstock Winter Sale on Friday, August 5.

One of the highlights is the stakes winning mare Queen Sabeel (Savabeel) who is being offered by Dormello Stud as agent.

Also part of the Dormello Stud supplementary entries is Grandissima (Savabeel).  She is a half-sister to G1 winner The Mighty Lions (Grosvenor) and the stakes placed Promise Keeper (Success Express).

Grandissima was stakes placed in the Listed Warstep Stakes and is being sold as a racing and breeding proposition.

Richfield Thoroughbreds has entered 13 mares into the supplementary catalogue including Potent Lady (Cullen).  She is a half-sister to trans-Tasman G1 winner Miss Potential (Dolphin Street) and has been served by Any Suggestion.  

Also from the Richfield Thoroughbreds draft is the Danasinga mare Starfire Glow.  She is a half-sister to the G1 winner Dowry (Bahhare), G2 winner Fatal (Bakharoff) and stakes winner Richfield Destiny (Bakharoff).  She has been served by Great Britain’s 2007 Champion 3YO Sprinter Sakhee’s Secret.

Haunui Farm has a strong draft with mares by Zabeel, Star Way and More Than Ready and the Flying Spur mare Cool Dane.  Her second dam is G1 Doncaster Handicap & Newmarket Handicap winner Maybe Mahal (Maybe Lad).  She has been served by New Zealand’s leading first-season sire Perfectly Ready.

A racing proposition with residual value being offered by Curraghmore Stud is an unnamed Perfectly Ready – Anakela Bay (Fairy King) 2YO filly.  The dam is a half-sister to the G2 winner Blues Traveller (Bluebird) and stakes winners Nanarch (Dara Monarch) and Surrealist (Tate Gallery).
