The Inglis Melbourne Autumn yearling sale has received numerous pedigree updates since the catalogue went to print but none more so than last week’s G1 BMW winner Cedarberg.
Trainer Pat Carey has always known the potential staying capabilities of Cedarberg and the gelding duly delivered on that promise in the $2.25 million event at Rosehill.
Cedarberg (4g Helenus – Infrared by Spectrum) is an older brother to the yearling filly (Lot 35) being offered by Phoenix Broodmare Farm as agent next Sunday, April 17.
Other updates include:
Lot 4: Toolora Lodge’s Churchill Downs half-brother to recent Moonee Valley winner and G3 placegetter Gail.
Lot 85: Emirates Park’s Al Samer half-brother to recent Warwick Farm winner King Lionheart.
Lot 237: Swettenham Stud’s sister to Hidden Dragon filly Obsidian Dragon. She has been in great form in South Australia winning at Morphettville and placing at stakes level.
This year’s Inglis Melbourne Autumn yearling sale catalogue comprises 469 yearlings and includes yearlings by proven sires Bel Esprit, Bianconi, Choisir, Commands, Hussonet, Lonhro, Red Ransom, Reset and Rock Of Gibraltar, along with sizeable drafts by exciting young stallions Artie Schiller, Churchill Downs, Hard Spun, Nadeem, Purrealist and Written Tycoon.
Successful graduates of the sale include Pompeii Ruler, Grand Journey, Status Symbol, Broadway Harmony, Orbit Express, She’s Got Gears, Secret Flyer and Grand Britanni.
The Inglis Melbourne Autumn yearling sale will be held at Oaklands on Sunday and Monday, April 17 & 18.
