Champion sire Redoute’s Choice began Wednesday’s morning session of the Inglis Easter yearling sale where he left off on Tuesday.  His colt from Group 1 winner Champagne sold for $850,000 to James Bester and Demi O’Byrne.

Redoute’s Choice had 17 youngsters average over $446,000 on Day 1 when his youngsters dominated with four of the top six lots on the leaderboard.

The Arrowfield Stud stallion topped Day 1 with a million-dollar three-quarter sister to Rothesay and the Coolmore duo took a shine to the fourth yearling to parade on Wednesday.

Offered by Cressfield, he is a three-quarter brother to Doomben stakes winner Martique (Danehill) and a half-brother to NZ stakes winner Nadege (Giant’s Causeway).

The Redoute’s Choice – Clean Sweep colt offered by Arrowfield was also in demand when selling for $750,000 to Chantilly Bloodstock.  Arrowfield’s operations manager Sam Fairgray wasn’t surprised the Clean Sweep colt was so popular.  “He’s a typical Redoute’s Choice,” Fairgray said.  “There’s plenty of size and strength about him.”

Fairgray also revealed Redoute’s Choice is serving 20 mares to northern hemisphere time at Arrowfield.  Among them are Singles Bar (Rory’s Jester), the dam of Not A Single Doubt.

Inglis has announced the introduction of a session for yearlings bred to northern hemisphere time to be included at the Australian Easter Yearling Sale from 2012 onwards.

Cressfield will also offer two Redoute’s Choice colts on Thursday.  Lot 393 from Park Esteem is related to Godolphin’s international Group 1 winner Central Park.

The Cressfield colt out of Personify (Lot 401) is out of a stakes winning half-sister to Champion South African filly Laisserfaire and Victorian sire Foreplay.  Personify sold for a record $2 million at the 2007 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale.
