The catalogue is now available for Book 1 of the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale in Sydney on February 6, 7 & 8.

From a total of 1,400 entries, Inglis has trimmed the catalogue down to 575 lots. The Sale will kick off at 6pm on Saturday, February 6 and will feature progeny by I am Invincible (30 Lots), Star Witness (28), Hinchinbrook (26), Denman (22), Your Song (21), Dream Ahead (20), Nicconi (18), Smart Missile (15), Excelebration (13), Choisir (12), Delago Deluxe (12), Sebring (11), Foxwedge (11), So You Think (10), Stratum (9) and Snitzel (8).
“Buyers will find an exceptional variety on offer from precocious two-year-olds and sprinters to Derby and Classic performers,” said Inglis National Bloodstock Director Jonathan D’Arcy. “The introduction of Saturday’s evening session gives our clients the opportunity to attend the Inglis Classic at Randwick before the first horse walks through the ring at 6.00pm.”
This season alone, 9 Inglis Classic graduates have won 12 stakes races, including the Group 1 Underwood Stakes with Mourinho for buyer and part-owner Leo Tartaglione.
I Am Invincible is represented by 30 quality yearlings including Lot 501. The colt out of Docherty Woods is bred by Bernie Howlett, breeder of I Am Invincible’s Group 1 winning Inglis Classic graduate and sire in the making Brazen Beau.
Among 17 Lots by Widden Stud’s Nicconi, is a brother to Tony McEvoy’s Group 3 winning Inglis Classic graduate Concealer, to be offered as Lot 408 from Riverdene Stud.
Smart Missile is represented by 15 Lots in the Classic Sale, including Lot 359, a colt out of a half-sister to Tycoon Lil and from the family of Empress Lily and recent stakes-winner Ygritte.
Snitzel has 8 Lots including Lot 17 from the Arrowfield Stud draft. The colt is a half-brother to fellow Inglis Classic graduate Lady Jivago, winner of four of her seven career starts including the 2015 $250,000 RL Inglis Classic.
Ambergate Farm, vendors of Smart Missile’s first stakes winner Sassy ‘N’ Smart, will offer as Lot 369 the half-sister to handy stakes-winning Inglis Classic graduate Alart, along with another 25 Lots.
