Consistency rewarded at Flemington

Raheen Stud bred galloper Club Command was rewarded for his consistency in Heat 6 of the Winter Championship Series (1400m) at Flemington on Saturday.

Club Command (4g Commands     – Stepping by Dodge) has banked a cheque every time he’s been saddled up by Peter Moody since a successful debut at Seymour in July 2011.  He was a $150,000 buy from Raheen at the 2010 Gold Coast Magic Millions and has now won 6 from 13 starts and $286,000 in prizemoney.

Ridden by Daniel Stackhouse, Club Command left his rivals flat-footed when clicked up at the 400m pole and lasted to score by a nose from Another Prelate (Lord Vain).  ”He’s honest and puts his heart on the line every time,” stable spokesman James Horton said.  ”Peter will decide whether we come back for the Final in a fortnight.”

Club Command’s dam Stepping is a half-sister to the dam of Group 1 winners Gimmethegreenlight and Ofcourseican.  Her yearling colt by Flying Spur was sold to NZ based Alan Tait for $100,000 at the 2013 Gold Coast Magic Millions.
