Coolmore has sold Ivan Denisovich to Haras Matancilla in Chile.
Ivan Denisovich (Danehill) retired to stud in 2007 and his first crop contains 11 European winners to date. He originally stood for 9,000 euros but that had been reduced to 3,000 euros in 2010.
Ivan Denisovich won three races including the G2 July Stakes as a two-year-old. He also ran second in the G1 Secretariat Stakes and G1 Prix Morny. He is by Danehill from Breeders’ Cup Distaff winner Hollywood Wildcat and is a half-brother to War Chant.
Ivan Denisovich did shuttle to Australia in 2007 but didn’t cover any mares. He arrived here in August and was stranded at the Eastern Creek quarantine station due to the E.I. crisis. He returned to Ireland on October.
