Coolmore shuttlers sired the winners of both lead-ups to the Irish Guineas at Leopardstown on Sunday.
High Chaparral colt Noll Wallop is trained by Tommy Stack and he stormed home to win the G3 Irish 2000 Guineas Trail by more than three lengths. He is out of the Danehill mare Annie Girl who was Listed winner of the Premio Bimbi in Milan.
Coolmore has re-routed High Chaparral from Windsor Park in NZ to its Hunter Valley base for the 2010 southern season.
Noll Wallop is the 18th stakes winner by sire-of-the-moment High Chaparral. He is one of 7 winners from Annie Girl who comes from the family of North American G1 winner Anne’s Pretender.
Choisir filly Lady Springbank staked her classic claims with an impressive victory in the G3 Irish 1000 Guineas Trial. Her dam Severa (Kendor) is a winning half-sister to the Listed German winners Sound Of Silence and Stiletta.
Lady Springbank was sold to BBA Ireland at the 2009 Doncaster January Sale but carries the colours of her breeder Mark Gittins. Choisir did not return to Ireland for the 2010 northern season.
