Sheikh Mohammed’s Kildangan Stud has started legal proceedings against Nathan Tinkler for alleged unpaid stud fees.
It’s the latest of several court actions involving the besieged Patinack Farm owner. The Irish stud filed the action in NSW last month and secured a default judgment ordering Tinkler to pay $97,700.
Kildangan spokesman Joe Osborne refused to speculate on proceedings. “It’s a commercial matter between Kildangan Stud and Mr Tinkler relating to stallion nominations,” he said. “We have no further comment on the matter.”
Tinkler is a fan of Kildangan shuttler Sharmadal. He has purchased a number of his yearlings including the stakes wining fillies Marquardt (LR AJC The Nivison) and Happy Hippy (LR MRC Summoned Stakes).
Tinkler also shuttles Sharmadal’s French classic winner Lope de Vega to Patinack Farm from Ballylinch Stud in Ireland.
