Cute Emily continued the red-hot run for Caulfield trainer Peter Moody after she scored a powerful victory in the G3 SAJC Sires’ Produce Stakes at Morphettville on Saturday.
Cute Emily (2f Choisir – Prefer an Angel by Mi Preferido) kept her unbeaten record intact less than a hour after stablemate Black Caviar won the G1 T J Smith Stakes at Randwick.
Now unbeaten in three runs, Cute Emily boosted her future broodmare value by easily beating Win for Wilson (Encosta de Lago) and Cash Bound (Dash for Cash). She was sent out one of the popular elects after excellent wins at Stawell and Caulfield.
Cute Emily was originally sold by Reavill Farm for $19,000 as a foal at the 2009 Magic Millions National weanling sale. Twelve months later she realised $100,000 to the bid of Bill Mitchell at the 2010 Magic Millions National yearling sale.
Cute Emily is by Coolmore shuttler Choisir and is one of six winners produced by Prefer an Angel. The dam was a G2 winner of the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Moonee Valley. She has a Holy Roman Emperor filly entered as Lot 18 for the Magic Millions National weanling sale in May.
Coolmore completed a stakes winning double at Morphettville when regally bred filly Precious Lorraine was successful in the G3 SA Fillies Classic (2400m).
Precious Lorraine (3f Encosta De Lago – Monsoon Wedding by Danehill) is trained by David Hayes and races in the same colours as Redoute’s Choice. Her dam was G2 placed at Rosehill and is a sister to Australia’s champion sire.
