Dalziel delivers with All American

Syndicator Wylie Dalziel unveiled his second smart All American 2yo colt this season when Phelps Glory won on debut at Morphettville on Saturday.

Well-supported at $3.30 after a nice trial at Strathalbyn last month, he tailed Lindsay Park youngster Diaochan and then took over in the straight to score by a long neck in the UBET Plate (1000m).  Dalziel Racing bought him for $62,500 at the Adelaide Magic Millions in March.

“I thought he would run early,” trainer Phillip Stokes declared.  “I saw him down at Mill Park before the yearling sale and he looked a well-reared, strong, good-walking colt.  He was an early foal with a good pedigree and I reckoned he was great value at that price.”

Phelps Glory (2c All American – Rekindled Glory by Redoute’s Choice) was bred by GSA Bloodstock’s Jonathon Munz and is the first foal of a sister to Moonee Valley Group 2 winner Rekindled Interest.

Rekindled Glory has a yearling filly by Medaglia D’Oro and a colt on the ground by Shooting To Win.

Wylie Dalziel also races All American colt American Genius who was stakes placed at Flemington in October and in the Magic Millions Clockwise Classic at Ballarat last month.  He holds a nomination for the $2 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic (1200m) in January.

All American (Red Ransom) has another promising juvenile ready to debut this week.  Trainer Michael Freedman has entered his Randwick trial winner Membership for the Wyong 2YO Plate (1000m) on Wednesday.

Geisel Park stands All American for a fee of $10,000 (plus gst).  For bookings and further information contact:  Conor Dunlop (0447 434 735), Eddie Rigg (0418 942 304), Mark Pilkington (0418 955 837).
