Danasinga returns to Hunter Valley

Danasinga is back in the Hunter Valley for the 2011 breeding season.  He will return to Baerami Thoroughbreds where he was based for five years before a stint Touchstone Farm in WA last year.

After moving to WA, he was represented by G1 ATC Vinery Stakes winner Mirjulisa Lass — a filly bred by Paul Higgins at Baerami Thoroughbreds from his second stud season in Australia.

Higgins also had a hand in breeding Southern Skye, the Listed Geelong Classic winner sired by Danasinga in his first year standing at Baerami.

“His last three crops of three year-olds have been his best,” Higgins claimed.  “Danasinga is the best breed-to-race option in Australia.”

Danasinga was originally based in New Zealand where he sired triple Group 1 winner Metal Bender.

Danasinga (Danehill) will stand at a fee of $8,800 (inc. gst).  Some cheaper deals will be available for Bluebird (USA) mares as both Group 1 winners Mirjulisa Lass and Metal Bender are the result of the same cross.

Young Danehill stallion California Dane will also stand at Baerami Thoroughbreds in 2011.
