A Danehill Dancer colt topped the BBAG Spring 2YO Sale in Germany on Friday with a colt that made 45,000 euros. He had been led out of the ring unsold but was later purchased by Italian outfit Racing Factory. The sale topper is out of a half-sister to G2 winner Crimson Tide.
Local trainer Miroslav Rulec bid 52,000 euros for a High Chaparral half-brother to Cheveley Park Stakes winner Serious Attitude but he was buying on behalf of vendor Ed Hardy.
An Invincible Spirit brother to stakes performer Invincible Force was purchased by French buyer Samuel Blanchard for 34,000 euros. He was the top-priced lot sold by Irish vendor Con Marnane under the Bansha House banner.
Marnane kept a Tiger Hill half-sister to last month’s Duke of York Stakes winner Prime Defender. She was one of the sale highlights on paper but was bought back for 11,000 euros.
The BBAG 2YO Sale average dipped 17%. That followed a 64% decline last year.
