Darley double at Breeders’ Cup

Darley completed an early Breeders’ Cup double on Friday courtesy of Chriselliam in the G1 Juvenile Fillies Turf (1600m) at Santa Anita.

Chriselliam is a daughter of Iffraaj who shuttles from Darley’s Kildangan Stud in Ireland to Haunui Farm in New Zealand where he stands at a fee of $15,000 (plus gst).

A last-start winner of the G1 Shadwell Fillies Mile at Newmarket, she powered home a clear winner by over two lengths.

Chriselliam (2f Iffraaj – Danielli by Danehill) is trained by Charlie Hills for a partnership that includes former champion jockey Willie Carson.  Her dam is a half-sister to Group 1 winning fillies Eva’s Request (Soviet Star) and Priory Bell (Priolo).
