Darley sells Tiger Hill

Gestut Fahrhof has completed a deal with Sheikh Mohammed to relocate Tiger Hill to Germany next year.

Tiger Hill (Danzig) was undefeated as a three year-old winning the 1998 German 2000 Guineas and Grosser Preis von Baden at Group 1 level.  Timeform rated him among the Top 5 horses sired by Danehill in the northern hemisphere when he retired after the 1999 Japan Cup.

Tiger Hill stood in France and Germany prior to being recruited by Darley.  He jumped the blocks in Europe with fully 15% of his winners developing into black-type winners.  Group 2 Great Voltigeur hero Rewilding is his latest black-type winner in Europe.

He shuttled to Australia for four years until 2008 and among his first crop have been the stakes winners Posavina (G3 NZ Lowland Stakes) and Yabigorse (Listed WA T J Smith Stakes).

Gestut Fahrhof has set Tiger Hill’s 2011 fee at 7,500 euros.
