Darley welcomes sister to Denman

A sister to last year’s Golden Rose winner Denman has arrived at Darley.  She is by Lonhro out of the winning Vain mare Peach and is also a half-sister to the G1 VRC Sires’ Produce Stakes winner Preserve (Canny Lad) and multiple stakes winner Rio Osa (Canny Lad).

Denman won 9 of his 12 starts and captured the imagination of Australian racegoers last season with his striking resemblance in looks and ability to his sire.  Lonhro has sired 17 stakes winners and Denman has come full circle as he is now set to embark on his first season at Darley.

Denman will make his first public appearance since leaving quarantine when he is paraded for clients at Kelvinside on Saturday.  He will stand at Darley Kelvinside at a fee of $38,500 (inc gst).

Lonhro will stand for $88,000 (inc gst) this year and his book includes none other than Melbourne Cup legend Makybe Diva.
