Keeneland’s November Sale began winding down with a low-key penultimate session on Thursday when 216 head traded for $1.69 million. The average dipped 14% to $7,850.
The Day 10 leader-board was headed by Local Color (Capote) who brought a winning bid of $45,000 from Rancho San Jose. Consigned by Indian Creek (as agent), the eight-year-old was listed in foal to Square Eddie.
Local Color’s only runner so far is the three year-old filly Shes a Jackpot (Jackpot) who equalled the 900m track record at Sandy Downs recently. The mare is a half-sister to G1 winner Vivid Angel (Septieme Ciel).
Keeneland’s November Sale concludes on Friday.
