The 2010 Magic Millions National weanling sale closed on Friday with the third (general) session averaging $4,137. That was up 71% on last year’s corresponding session. Turnover of $318,000 climbed 67% from 2009.
Top price for the day was $30,000 for a Sequalo colt from Porsha. He was purchased by New Zealand based J & I Bloodstock and was one of four weanlings snapped up by buyers across the Tasman. Kiwi clients bought 67 lots for a total spend of $3.85 million during the first two sessions of the sale on Wednesday and Thursday.
The National Sale switches to the Broodmare section commencing at 10am on Sunday.
