Day 3 Magic Millions National yearling sale – Dane Shadow tops finale

A Dane Shadow filly topped the final session of the 2014 Magic Millions National Sale at the Gold Coast on Friday.

Presented by Stanley River Thoroughbreds, the yearling filly is the first foal of the twice winning and Melbourne placed Traditionally mare A Little Smugg.  She made $40,000 to a Queensland client of Magic Millions.

Friday’s General session of yearlings grossed $1 million before Racehorses took centre stage.  Competition was strong including an unnamed Zizou 2yo brother to quality Singapore galloper Rappor that cost Cliff Bashford $35,000.

Malua Bloodstock matched that with a couple of $35,000 bids for Generis Heart and Darley galloper Carillo.

Magic Millions Managing Director Vin Cox said he was delighted with the results achieved over the past fortnight.  “It’s been a very big National Sale, from start to end,” he said.   “We had 2,100 horses in and out of the complex and we have to congratulate all the staff of the vendors and the shipping companies in getting the horses in and out of the complex with little fuss.

“To all the Magic Millions staff it has been a big two weeks.  There has been a lot of work go into this sale which has culminated in two weeks of record breaking selling.”
