Mossriver led a low-key General Session of the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale on Sunday.

The Mossman mare was purchased by Wattle Brae Stud for $55,000.  She foaled a Husson filly first-up in August but wasn’t bred back last year.

Mossriver won at Eagle and Doomben and was also stakes placed at both venues for part-owner and trained by David Murphy.

Second on Sunday’s leader-board was Via (Southern Halo) who was sold in foal to Denman for $46,000.   The USA bred mare is a sister to 1999 Argentina Horse of the Year Team.

Of the mares for sale after withdrawals, 48% changed hands for $1,000 or less.
