More Than Ready produced another filly of exceptional quality when Deremah demoralised her rivals in a French Oaks trial at Fontainebleau on Thursday.

The Aga Khan homebred was appearing in public for the first time in the Prix de la Platiere d’Apremont (2200m) and won untouched by over a length from Vodka Double (Peintre Celebre).  Held up by Christophe Soumillon until well into the straight, she put them away with an awesome turn of foot at the furlong.

More Than Ready has stunning last-start York stakes winner Nemoralia heading for the G1 Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot on June 17 and Deremah can double up in the G1 French Oaks at Chantilly on June 19.

It would give the Aga Khan his 8th Prix de Diane since Shemaka in 1993.  Among her adversaries will be Camprock, a daughter of Vinery sire Myboycharlie.  She lost her unbeaten record, but no friends, when a close second in the G1 Prix Saint-Alary at Deauville last week.

Deremah is from Darma (Danehill Dancer) who won first time out over 1600m as juvenile but never saw a racetrack again after her debut at Chantilly.  She is a half-sister to 2006 French Derby winner Darsi and the immediate family includes Darjina (French 1000 Guineas) and Almanzor who holds a nomination for the G1 St James’s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot on June 14.

More Than Ready’s next black-type could come as early as this Saturday with Falkenberg in the G2 Doomben Roses (2000m).  The Snowden Racing filly will appreciate a step up in distance after flying home in the LR Gold Coast Bracelet a fortnight ago.

The Vinery champion is standing for a $66,000 (inc gst) service fee in 2016.
