Domesday doubles up in Hong Kong

Darley sire Domesday continued his winning run this season when Turbo King scored a stylish victory at Happy Valley on Wednesday evening.

Domesday flag-bearer Pressday grabbed a Group 2 in the Sandown Guineas on Saturday and his Australian bred gelding Turbo King won his second Hong Kong race when clocking 57.60s in the Wayfoong Centenary Bow (1000m) last night.

Pressday and Turbo King are both graduates of the 2009 Inglis Classic yearling sale.  Pressday sold for $38,000 out of the Glenarvon Park draft while Turbo King was an $18,000 buy from Carramar Park.

Turbo King  (3g Domesday – Alice’s Magic by Al Jaasi) is related to G1 STC George Ryder Stakes winner Al Mansour (At Talaq).  His dam has a 2yo colt by Domesday that sold for $22,500 to a New Zealand buyer at this year’s Classic Sale.  She also has a yearling colt by Strategic and followed up with a Musket colt in August.

“Turbo King was always the horse to beat when they went such a crazy speed in front,” winning jockey Brett Prebble said last night.  “He’s mentally not quite there yet but is still only a young horse.”

Domesday is a son of Red Ransom and was a G2 winner of the STC Silver Slipper Stakes.  He stands at Darley’s Northwood Park at Seymour for an $11,000 (inc gst) fee.
