Cheveley Park freshman Dutch Art sired a winner at his first attempt when Miss Work Of Art was successful at Lingfield on Wednesday.
The result came a day after Cheveley Park announced the death of its evergreen sire Prince Sabo.
Miss Work Of Art (2f Dutch Art – Lacework by Pivotal) was a 29,000 pounds buy at the 2010 Doncaster August yearling sale. She closed in on the leaders at the top of the straight and cruised home by more than three lengths. Her dam Lacework won three races from 1400m to 2000m and she is a sister to Scandinavian Listed winner Entangle.
Dutch Art (Medicean) was a G1 winner of the 2006 Prix Morny and Middle Park Stakes and his first crop were popular at the 2010 yearling sales. Sheikh Hamdan bought one of his fillies for 120,000 guineas at the Tattersalls October Sale.
