Encosta De Lago mare Tricolore topped the Inglis Sydney Summer Sale on Friday when making $77,500 to the bid of Newgate Bloodstock. She was sold in foal to Coolmore stallion Henrythenavigator.
Tricolore is from the family of Golden Slipper winner Burst and she won a Balaklava maiden in nine starts for David Hayes.
Rosehill Guineas winner Dealer Principal was secured by his trainer Anthony Cummings for $58,000. The G1 winner was among 86 horses that changed hands for turnover of $485,350.
More than 25% of the horses sold went to online bidders. The online portion accounted for $121,650 of the day’s gross. Horses passed in are still available via the Inglis Make an Offer service.
The next Inglis Sale will be the Melbourne December Sale on December 17 at Oaklands.
