Fastnet Rock filly Hot Butterfly kept her winning streak alive with a G3 victory in the Magic Millions Malaysian Classic at Penang on Sunday.

Hot Butterfly (4f Fastnet Rock – Laguna Lake by Odyle) broke her maiden by seven lengths at Perak in April.  She was unplaced back at Perak in July but hasn’t been beaten since.

The filly was a $100,000 purchase from Bellagio Lodge at the 2008 Magic Millions HIT Sale.  Perth horseman Joe Byrne bought her on behalf of his good friend and client Richard Beh.

“It was a fitting result – Mr Beh is the biggest Malaysian based buyer we have,” Magic Millions International Director David Chester said.  “He’s been a buyer with us for at least 10 years and Hot Butterfly looks to be his latest star galloper.”

Hot Butterfly is from Listed STC Parramatta Cup winner Laguna Lake.  She has foaled six winners including the Fernhill Handicap and Frank Underwood Cup winner Yes Boss.

Hot Butterfly has build up a 8: 5-2-0 record for Beh and trainer Kevin Coetzee.  She defeated Alacarte (Umatilla) and Royal Lawyer (Al Samer) on Boxing Day.

Coolmore sires completed a feature double at Penang on Boxing Day when Risky Business scored a resounding win in the G1 Yang Di Pertua Negeri Gold Cup.

Risky Business (Danehill Dancer) is trained by Steven Burridge and was a G1 winner of the Singapore Gold Cup in November.  He was a $90,000 purchase for Coolmore agent Demi O’Byrne from the draft of Tyreel Stud at the 2006 Gold Coast Magic Millions.

Risky Business kicked off his racing career with David Hayes under the name To Arms.  He was placed twice in two starts at Cheltenham and Morphettville before transferring off-shore.

He is a three quarter brother to fellow Singapore star Lim’s Fighter.  They are both from Sky Watch who was a G2 QTC Grand Prix Stakes winner for the Fleming family before retiring to Tyreel.
