Woodside Park Stud has announced a well-deserved service fee increase for its red hot sire Written Tycoon.

Australia’s Champion 2YO Sire-elect for 2015-16 will stand for a $49,500 (inc gst) fee in 2016.  He covered 184 mares for $19,800 (inc gst) at Tylden last year.

Written Tycoon is in elite company after siring Capitalist (G1 Golden Slipper) and Lunar Rossa (G1 Manawatu Sires’ Produce Stakes) this season.  The only stallions to ever record two Group 1 winning two-year-olds in a season have been Exceed and Excel, Redoute’s Choice, Flying Spur, Marscay, Marauding and now Written Tycoon.

“He has not only had an incredible year with his two-year-olds but he is also third on the General Sires List by Earnings and second by Winners,” said Matt Tillett of Woodside Park.  “He has now cemented himself among the elite proven stallions in Australia and he’s done it off a very low base of mares, with his better crops still ahead.

“He has done a fantastic job already for his supporters and our farm, we are sure that there’s even bigger things to come.”

Written Tycoon should expect reinforcements at Woodside Park with Zoustar (Widden) and Rich Enuff (Glenlogan Park) alternating interstate this year.
