Emirates Park Victoria sire Mulaazem has his first foal on the ground – a bay-brown colt from Danewin mare Crystal Belle.
Mulaazem (Dubai Destination) covered 67 mares at Emirates Park’s Digger’s Rest property last year. He was a Group 2 winner of the 2013 Autumn Stakes at Caulfield before injury forced his premature retirement after just a handful of starts.
A half-brother to Champion colt Sepoy, he represents one of the most tried and tested female families in the Australian Stud Book. His other close relations include Group 1 winners Guelph, Camarilla, Camarena, Canny Lass and Canny Lad.
Mulaazem’s first foal is from an unraced half-sister to Queensland stakes winner Single Rose. The newcomer is a half-brother to Eavesdropper winner Dropper Crystal and a Strategic colt purchased by Hancox Bloodstock at the 2014 Inglis Sydney Classic Yearling Sale.
Emirates Park Victoria will stand Mulaazem for a $7,700 (inc gst) service fee this year.
