First Kentucky foal for Henrythenavigator

The first foal by Henrythenavigator has arrived at Coolmore’s Kentucky base at Ashford Stud.  The colt is from 1996 Breeders’ Cup Distaff winner Jewel Princess.

Henrythenavigator (Kingmambo) was a G1 winner of the English 2000 Guineas, Sussex Stakes, St. James’s Palace Stakes and Irish 2000 Guineas.

He stands for a US$40,000 fee and his first northern book of 155 mares included champion Rags to Riches and the dams of champions Zenyatta, Smarty Jones, and Big Brown.

Jewel Princess (Key to the Mint) won 13 of 29 career starts and earned $1.90 million.  The colt is her ninth foal.

Henrythenavigator shuttled to Coolmore Australia for the first time last year and covered 143 mares at a $38,500 fee.
