Larneuk Stud’s Neville Murdoch has been looking forward to the Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale for months – excited at the opportunity to show off the first O’Lonhro yearlings.
“They have the same good looks, strength, presence and laid-back attitude of their sire,” Murdoch said. “And there is a lot of Lonhro about them too – and that can only be a good thing!”
Seven members of the first O’Lonhro crop will go under the hammer at the Inglis Melbourne Premier starting on March 3 and each hail from excellent families.
Lot 410: Filly ex Grand Manners (Grand Lodge): Dam has produced four winners from five foals including the G3 placed multiple city winner Lalla Rookh. Bred on the very successful Lonhro-Danzig cross that has produced 14 stakes winners including Group 1 mare Benfica.
Lot 442: Colt ex Invisible Quest (Intikhab): Half-brother to the lightly raced winner Emperor’s Banquet out of an imported half-sister to the French G1 winner Kinnaird and the UK G3 winner Mickdaam.
