Victorian-based stallion Danesis sired his first winner when Nelsons Arch was successful in the Better Solar Maiden (2000m) at Werribee on Monday.
Danesis, an Irish-bred son of Danehill, stands at Brooker Park Stud which is located 100km south-east of Melbourne. He’s a half-brother to champion sire Dehere and won five races up to a mile for trainer John Moore in Hong Kong.
Initially sourced to stand at Carin Park in the western-districts of Victoria in 2012, he was transferred to Brooker Park that same year where he has covered 150 mares in five seasons.
Nelsons Arch (3g Danesis – Cindy’s Arch by Archway) is one of 10 starters to date from his sire’s first crop. Studmaster John Pratt stands him for a $2,200 (inc gst) service fee at Brooker Park.
