Overtheriver (NZ) put his sire Mettre En Jeu on the board with a two length victory at Wanganui on Thursday.
The Stephen Crutchley trained colt is a first crop son of Mettre En Jeu and he let down strongly in the straight to win the Mickey’s Super Liquor Maiden (1200m).
Overtheriver (3c Mettre En Jeu – Quality Eyes by Danzero) was offered by Letham Thoroughbreds at the 2012 NZB Festival Sale but failed to make a $21,000 reserve. He is from a daughter of G2 SAJC Angas Brut Stakes winner Close Your Eyes (Geiger Counter).

He stands for a $3,000 fee Letham Thoroughbreds which is situated to the east of Wanganui.
