Loveson was racing for the 8th time in the Thyssenkrupp Elevators Maiden (1000m) for trainers Brett & Thomas Lunney on Friday. His dam Sweet Sweet Love (Easy Rocking) is a half-sister to city winners Apache Gold (Melbourne), Tragic Star (Adelaide) & Gleam (Sydney).
She has a yearling filly and a filly on the ground by Players Choice. East Greenmount-based Sheree McEwan stands him for a $500 service fee after a successful online bid at www.bloodstockauction.com in December 2016.
Players Choice (pictured) defeated subsequent stakes winner Saluter in a 3YO QTIS sprint at Eagle Farm but was retired after injuring a tendon in the 2012 Gold Edition Stakes won by Sizzling.
He’s a half-brother to Lindsay Park gelding Whisper Downs (Churcill Downs) who won 9 sprints in Melbourne.
Their dam Gur (Lake Coniston) is a half-sister to LR Black Opal Stakes winner Down The Wicket.
Loveson is from his first crop. The only other starter – Toowoomba galloper Red Monkey – has been placed four times around this provincials this season.
