Mark “Sparrow” Flaherty has been on fire on the provincial circuit and the Cranbourne based jockey will be looking to continue that form at his home track on Sunday.
Flaherty has six rides and punters will zero in on Flash’n Dough to win the last leg of the quaddie (Race 8 at 5.05pm AEDT).
Flash’n Dough (4g Beautiful Crown-Misunderstanding by Palace Music) is a winner at two of his past three starts and, despite lugging 59kg, looks extremely hard to beat.
He was purchased by trainer Stephen Theodore for $70,000 at the 2007 Gold Coast Magic Millions and is one of six winners for the Group-performed mare Misunderstanding. She is also the dam of G3 BTC Doomben Classic and Rough Habit Plate winner Belmonte (Singspiel).
