Full House for Coolmore

Coolmore shuttler Excellent Art topped the opening session of the Tattersalls Ireland September yearling sale at Fairyhouse on Tuesday.  The colt was sold by Swordlestown Stud to Eddie Fitzpatrick for 70,000 euros (AUD  96,985).  

Excellent Art is by champion sire Pivotal and was a G1 winner of the St James Palace Stakes.  His Tattersalls colt is from the Danehill mare Jamrah.

A Choisir half-sister to 2010 2YO winner Cat Fire matched the Excellent Art colt at 70,000 euros.  She was purchased by Nick Shutts.

Fillies by Darley sires Iffraaj and Teofilo also appeared in the Top 5 of the opening session.  The average was down 2% and the clearance rate was 80%.
