Tyreel Stud mare Chordata topped the Inglis Broodmare Sale on Thursday at $110,000. The four year-old Fusaichi Pegasus mare was sold to Nick Vass for $110,000.
Chordata is a daughter of the former crack Danehill mare Dashing Eagle and was offered carrying a positive test to Flying Spur.
The $110,000 figure was matched later in the day when Marina Belle was sold to Evergreen Stud. The Last Tycoon mare was prepared for sale by Emerald Thoroughbreds and was sold in foal to High Chaparral. Champion French filly Joanna is another High Chaparral from her family.
A total of 82 mares sold during the Select session on Thursday for $1.65 million at an average of $20,170.
Passed in horses are still available for sale via the Inglis Make an Offer service. Interested parties can view a photograph of all passed in horses on the Make an Offer website.
The sale concludes on Friday with General Broodmares, including a Supplementary section, followed by stallions, yearlings and racehorses. This section includes a supplementary catalogue of 43 yearlings and racehorses.
