Glenlogan Park dominates at Doomben

Show A Heart continued to raid the rich QTIS series at Doomben on Saturday courtesy of his high quality juvenile Show A Prince.

The Liam Birchley prepared gelding burst through a gap on the rails to nail Florida Fellow (Anabaa) by a half-neck in the QTIS Mittys Hcp (1200m).  His connections pocketed $53,000 in prizemoney and bonuses.

Show A Prince (2g Show a Heart – Princess Margaret by Spectrum) will now head to the QTIS600 Plate (1100m) at Ipswich on May 2.  “He looks to have a lot of quality about him but I still believe he’ll make a better three-year-old,” Birchley said.  “He knows how to hit the line.”

Champion Glenlogan Park stallion Show A Heart sired Black Cash to win the $250,000 QTIS 600 Plate on the Gold Coast last month and there’s another $150,000 on offer in the Ipswich QTIS600 Plate.

Show A Prince was a $110,000 buy from Glenlogan Park at the 2010 Gold Coast Magic Millions.  He is the first foal of former brilliant racemare Princess Margaret who won 9 races including the Listed Silk Stocking at the Gold Coast.

Princess Margaret was purchased by Glenlogan Park for $230,000 at the 2007 Magic Millions National broodmare sale.  She has a yearling filly by Show a Heart, a weanling colt by Sebring and was covered by Glenlogan Park newcomer Real Saga last year.

Glenlogan Park residents completed a treble at Doomben on Saturday.  Show A Heart sired the winners Show A Prince (R1) & Heartshaker (R3) while Falvelon added another via Falvelina (R2).
