Glory days to Ghost Ridge Farm

Former Coolmore shuttler Honour And Glory has transferred from Wintergreen Farm in Kentucky to stand at Ghost Ridge Farm in Pennsylvania.  The 16-year-old son of Relaunch was a G1 winner of the 1996 Metropolitan Handicap at Belmont and was also placed in a Breeders’ Cup Sprint and Santa Anita Derby.

Honour and Glory began his stud career in a blaze of glory getting 2000 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies winner Caressing in his first northern crop.  He is now owned outright by the Argentinian-based La Mission, where he has shuttled for the past four southern-hemisphere breeding seasons.

Honour and Glory shuttled to Australia for five seasons until 2001.  He left over 157 winners at very high 64% strike-rate, however, a lack of black-type performers meant he didn’t meet the standard required to stay on the Coolmore roster.

He sired five Australasian stakes winners – Only Glory (G2 AJC Light Fingers St), Minson (G3 MRC Bletchingly St), How About That (LR VRC Lady Mayoress Plate), True Valour (LR Levin Stakes) and Walk Alone (LR AJC Toy Show Quality).
