Gold Coast Magic Millions – Record-breaking Book 2

More records fell by the wayside when Book 2 of the 2018 Magic Millions Sale drew the curtain on a catalogue of 1108 lots at the Gold Coast.

A filly by Not a Single Doubt topped Sunday’s selling when she sold for $280,000 in a great result for a client of Queensland’s Grandview. She was knocked down to Henry Plumptre who was buying for new Cambridge Stud owners Brendan and Jo Lindsay.

“She’s such a lovely individual,” Plumptre said. “It’s been a fantastic sale and this filly fitted the bill. The Not a Single Doubt yearlings sold very well over the first four days and this filly really appealed.”

The Not a Single Doubt filly was one of a half-dozen youngsters to sell for $200,000 or more across the day. The top three sellers were all fillies – the others being by I Am Invincible and Spirit of Boom.

Three colts were purchased for $200,000 – sons of Rubick, Husson and Dissident.

During the day over $10.5 million was traded on 158 lots sold at a record clearance rate of over 84% and record average of $66,690.
