Inglis has announced the Redoute’s Choice half-brother to Black Caviar has been entered for its 2013 Easter yearling sale. The colt is also a half-brother to G1 Caulfield Guineas winner All Too Hard (Casino Prince).
Gilgai Farm owner Rick Jamieson has confirmed the regally-bred youngster is heading for Australasia’s premier sale on April 9 to 11.
Black Caviar (Bel Esprit) is currently spelling prior to a proposed autumn campaign while All Too Hard is gunning for a G1 double in the Cox Plate at Moonee Valley this Saturday.
“Being a half-brother to a Caulfield Guineas winner and by a champion Caulfield Guineas winner makes next year’s offering an outstanding prospect,” Inglis managing director Mark Webster said. “But add Black Caviar to the equation and you have the most anticipated colt in Australia’s thoroughbred auction history.”
The colt is the fifth foal of Desert Sun mare Helsinge who is a half-sister to Eliza Park’s G1 winning stallion Magnus. The mare is also the dam of fellow Eliza Park resident Moshee (Fastnet Rock) and the Redoute’s Choice filly that sold for $2.60 million at the 2012 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.
Helsinge foaled another Bel Esprit filly at Gilgai Farm last week.
